RELATED: Here’s an ingenious way to save money on your cable bill Well, I never got it (and if I did, I didn’t notice it). Of course, I took it, but instead of simply crediting my bill for $100, AT&T supposedly sent me a rewards card. It took me a couple of hours (not fun) to get it all straightened out, so when I decided to stick with AT&T and not sign up with a competitor, they offered me free installation as well as the $100 credit to offset the first two months of my U-Verse service. I was in a pinch because AT&T messed up my bill when I canceled DirecTV. An employee told me that AT&T gives the $100 credit away so much, it’s pretty much standard. They don’t advertise this, but you can get a $100 credit if they’ve botched your installation, bill payment or service in any way. Here’s how I got AT&T to drop my U-Verse late feeįirst of all, if you sign up for AT&T, there are some incentives you should be aware of that can ease the initial impact on your wallet. Instead of absorbing a late fee, I was able to get it wiped clean. I recently signed up for AT&T U-Verse and forgot to pay my first bill. $330 and he's getting 12 Mbps up and 2 down? That's obscene. If you’re an AT&T customer, you know that the company can be merciless when you get behind on a payment. Kinda pissed since he's old and I feel like they just incrementally slowly boiled the water to the paint that he's making this huge payment. Does ATT work the same way? I feel like with lack of competition in his area they might just say "tough sh*t". With xfinity, before we cut the cord and ditched them, my wife would periodically call and raise a ruckus and get some sort of "new deal" and bring the costs down until they slowly raised them. Is there anything he can do to bring this cost down? U450 is probably overkill for sure, so would he be able to downgrade to some other tv plan without getting taken to the cleaners? I'd recommend he swap over but they actually are not available in his area. I thought my old xfinity cost was bad but this is ridiculous. He showed me his bill and I was astounded to see that he is paying $330 a month for So was visiting my dad and got on the topic of internet, cable, etc.
